IMPORTANT FOR TUTORS

How Lead Offers Work

Student enquiries are time-sensitive. Here’s what happens when a matched lead is offered to you.

πŸ””
LEAD RECEIVED

Respond Within 6 Hours

When a matched lead is offered to you, review the requirement and respond within 6 hours.

No response β†’ the offer may expire and the enquiry may be offered to another eligible tutor.
βœ“
IF YOU ACCEPT

Unlock the Contact Within 2 Hours

After accepting the lead, you get a 2-hour window to unlock the student or parent contact details.

Accepting the lead itself does not use a credit.
β—Ž
ZERO CREDITS

You Can Accept Even With 0 Credits

You may accept a relevant lead even when your credit balance is zero. To view the contact, purchase credits and unlock it within the 2-hour window.

A lead credit is required only when you unlock the contact.
⏱
TIME EXPIRED

Missed the Unlock Window?

If the contact is not unlocked within 2 hours after acceptance, your offer may expire.

The enquiry may then be offered to another eligible tutor.
πŸ”“
1 Credit Is Used Only When You Unlock a Contact

Receiving, reviewing or accepting a lead does not deduct a credit. One lead credit is used only after the contact is successfully unlocked.

πŸ‘₯

Matched leads are not exclusive An enquiry may also be offered to other eligible tutors, so respond promptly when you are interested.

↻

A lead may be re-offered If an enquiry is still open, an eligible tutor may receive it again as a Re-offered Lead.

πŸ’‘

Accept only when you are genuinely interested. Accepting gives you a limited opportunity to unlock the contact, so take action within the displayed time window.

FAIR LEAD POLICY

Lead Credit Protection

Our goal is to connect tutors with genuine student or parent enquiries and create a fair opportunity to reach a meaningful discussion or demo class.

βœ“

Genuine Contact First

We aim to provide genuine student or parent enquiries. Fake, clearly incorrect or unusable contact details should be reported.

βš‘

Report a Lead Problem

After unlocking a contact, you can report a genuine problem directly from My Leads for review by our team.

πŸ”

Every Report Is Reviewed

Reported leads are reviewed individually. We consider the contact details, student requirement and the reason submitted by the tutor.

↩

Credit Back When Approved

If the lead is found genuinely invalid or materially unusable after review, the used lead credit may be returned to your tutor account.

πŸ›‘οΈ
What Can You Report?

Examples of issues our team can review.

Wrong or fake contact number Student denies making the tuition enquiry Contact details are invalid or unusable Actual requirement is substantially different Timing or availability mismatch Fee or budget mismatch Other genuine lead-related issue
ℹ️

Reporting does not automatically mean a credit refund. Timing, fee, availability or preference mismatches can be reported, but each case is reviewed individually before a refund decision.

🀝
Our Goal: Genuine Opportunities, Not Guaranteed Conversions

Get Home Tutor aims to connect you with genuine student or parent enquiries and help both sides reach a meaningful conversation or demo opportunity. Final tutor selection depends on the student, parent and tutor.

TUTOR HELP

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about lead credits, student enquiries, unlocking contacts and lead protection.

What are lead credits?

Lead credits are used to unlock the available contact details of matched student or parent enquiries. One successful contact unlock uses one lead credit.

When is a lead credit deducted?

A credit is deducted only when you successfully unlock the student or parent contact. Receiving, reviewing or accepting a lead does not use a credit.

Can I receive leads if my credit balance is zero?

Yes. Having zero credits does not stop you from receiving eligible matched lead offers. You can review the available requirement and decide whether you are interested.

Can I accept a lead when I have 0 credits?

Yes. You can accept a relevant lead even with zero credits. However, after accepting, you must purchase the required credit and unlock the contact within the 2-hour acceptance window.

How long do I have to respond to a new lead?

You should respond within 6 hours of the lead being offered to you. If you do not respond within that time, the offer may expire and the enquiry may be offered to another eligible tutor.

What happens after I accept a lead?

After accepting, you get a 2-hour window to unlock the available student or parent contact details. Accepting alone does not deduct a credit.

What if I accept a lead but do not unlock it within 2 hours?

Your opportunity to unlock that lead may expire after the 2-hour window. The enquiry may then be offered to another eligible tutor, so accept only when you are genuinely interested and ready to take action.

What can I see before using a credit?

You can review the available tuition requirement before unlocking, such as class, subject, board, teaching mode, location and other requirement details provided with the enquiry. Contact details remain locked until you choose to unlock them.

Can the same student enquiry be offered to other tutors?

Yes. Matched enquiries are not exclusive. A lead may also be offered to other eligible tutors. Respond promptly when a requirement is suitable for you.

What is a Re-offered Lead?

If a student enquiry is still open, an eligible tutor may receive the same opportunity again. Such an enquiry can appear in your dashboard as a Re-offered Lead.

Do my lead credits expire?

No. Under the current Get Home Tutor credit policy, unused lead credits remain available in your tutor account until you use them to unlock eligible contacts.

What should I do if a contact number is fake, wrong or unusable?

Report the lead from My Leads with the appropriate reason. Our team will review the reported enquiry. If the lead is found genuinely invalid or materially unusable, the used credit may be refunded after approval.

Can I report a timing, fee or requirement mismatch?

Yes. You can report genuine issues such as timing, availability, fee or budget mismatch, or a requirement that is substantially different from what was originally provided. Each report is reviewed individually, and reporting does not automatically guarantee a credit refund.

When will a used lead credit be refunded?

A refund may be provided when a reported lead is reviewed and approved as genuinely invalid or materially unusable. Approved refunds are returned to your tutor credit balance.

Does unlocking a lead guarantee a demo class or confirmed tuition?

No. A lead credit provides access to a genuine contact opportunity; it does not guarantee a demo, admission or confirmed tuition. Our goal is to help tutors and students or parents reach a meaningful conversation and, where suitable, a demo opportunity. Final selection depends on both sides.
